Aromatherapy Pendants – Therapeutic Beauty!

Since time immemorial, fragrance has always fascinated mankind and some forms of aromatherapy pendants have always been used since pre-historic times. In more recent times, evidence of aromatic baths has confirmed the attraction that people have felt towards scents of various kinds. Traditionally, aromatherapy has been used by different generations and races for its therapeutic values. Native Americans and people from Hispanic countries used to wear aromatherapy jewelry in order to keep the evil spirits and bad energy away and to get total fragrance for the body.

Aromatherapy Jewelry

Since it’s very difficult and unpractical to carry an aromatherapy scented candle wherever you go, people use jewelry as a viable option. This way the aromatherapy jewelry not only adorns the user but also provides the therapeutic benefits throughout the day. The most convenient types of jewelries are necklaces that have aromatherapy pendants hanging from them. These pendants are the carriers of the aromatherapy ingredients mostly in the form of a vial. The aromatherapy scents emanating from the vial provides fragrance and cure not only to the person wearing it but also to all those who might be with him.

Aromatherapy ingredients can also be housed in other types of jewelry such as bracelets or wrist bands. However, aromatherapy pendants are the most convenient carriers. When you shop around for aromatherapy jewelry, you should make sure that the essential oil in the jewelry is pure and a genuine product. Most aromatherapy jewelry is also available with an open lid on the aromatherapy pendant’s vial so that you can fill it up with the essential oil that you like. These are known as diffuser pendant necklaces and are widely available. Aromatherapy jewelry is a cosmetic that heals while giving out fragrance and is also decorative.

Aromatherapy pendants are basically of two designs – the Aromatherapy Sunflower Locket and the Fragrance Bottle. These designs were created by Jeffrey David who used sterling silver to make them. Magnetic and hinged closures are also used to make sure that the essential oils dissipate as desired and do not spill.

The designs of the Aromatherapy pendants are such that they can be refilled with essential oils very easily and very often. There are many types of essential oils that can be used to fill these pendants and each has its own characteristics and therapeutic values. Tangerine oil can be used to stimulate the senses and eliminate muscle pain. Spearmint and peppermint are more traditional oils that can be used to cure indigestion and to relax the stomach. Cinnamon oil is good for improving blood circulation and bergamot oil helps to lift your spirit and gives energy throughout the day.

Aromatherapy oil diffusers and other decorative items can be used to adorn the house and to provide fragrance and therapeutic effects. If you use vases and other decoration pieces as a signature piece in your room, the fragrance will permeate throughout the house.

There are various types of aromatherapy jewelry and you can choose the one that would suit your taste and purpose. You can wear a locket or a necklace and fill it with an appropriate essential oil, if you are constantly using your hands throughout the day and if you wish to get the fragrance at all times without the fear of spilling the oil. You can also use bracelets and rings but since these are small pieces of jewelry, the oil carrying capacity is small. As such you’ll have to use strong and highly fragrant oil in a concentrated form so that you don’t have to keep refilling the oil at short intervals. The best option, however, is to use aromatherapy pendants.
