Aromatherapy Jar Candles – Healing With Fragrance

Aromatherapy jar candles are one of the simplest but most effective alternative medicines. The technology behind aromatherapy involves the use of essential oils that are produced by flowers, plants, seeds and roots. Apart from their healing properties, the fragrances from these essential oils are also very useful in soothing the mind and the spirit.

Features Of Aromatherapy Jar Candles

Aromatherapy jar candles are one of the main instruments of aromatherapy and the expertise lies in the selection of the right fragrance of the candle for specific healing purposes. In general, these candles help the consumers to get healed, to relax, get a comfortable feeling and even get into the mood for romance. Many experts in the field of aromatherapy do not advocate the use of jar candles as they burn too hot and the essential oils also burn away too soon due to which the fragrance does not permeate in the air to give the desired result.

However, many producers of aromatherapy jar candles are now making better quality jar candles from Kosher Soy Wax. These candles burn slowly as the flame melts the wax gradually and the gentle heat ensures that the fragrance is released more effectively. Since these aromatherapy jar candles are strongly scented, they need to be burned for only one or two hours to give the desired atmosphere. These jar candles are housed in straight sided glass jars.

How Do These Jar Candles Work?

When an aromatherapy jar candle burns, the essential oils release continuous floral fragrance into the air and this has a beneficial and therapeutic effect both on the body and the mood of the person for whom the candle is being used. This fragrance is basically built up of chemicals which enter the bloodstream of your body when you inhale. The chemicals are then transported by the blood stream in your entire body, especially the brain. As the chemicals interact with your body, their beneficial effects take place. The body reacts positively to the smell therapy thereby improving the state of the mind and giving a nice smell to the surrounding environment.

When you buy aromatherapy jar candles, you should check up whether they contain essential oils. It’s not merely the scent that’s important but the presence of essential oils that gives the therapeutic effect. Since these oils evaporate quickly, the genuine aromatherapy candles need to be wrapped properly. As such, you should not buy an unwrapped candle even if it smells strongly.

It’s Easy To Make Your Own Scented Jar Candle

It’s quite safe and easy to make scented jar candles at home. The first step is to select a frosted glass jar or a simple plain jar. The selected jar can be personalized by decorating the outside with names, sayings or pictures. The jar need not be expensive or special as it is the candle that is more important. Almost any type of commonly used jar will serve the purpose. The jar should be washed thoroughly and previous labels should be removed. You can either select an aromatherapy candle and make an aromatherapy jar candle or merely use a scented candle and make an ordinary scented jar candle. You can then set it up inside the jar. The outside of the jar containing the aromatherapy jar candles can also be painted with colors that you like and a white candle will give a proper contrast.
